The DS wires go kind of behind and through the PS pump. Getting the last wire through the slot when there are already three wires in place is a trick, for sure. Glad she is put right and running strong now.

I feel like I got a pretty good deal at $6,000.
I feel that you got a pretty good deal as well.
That's a sweet car for the money! Pretty damn close to best of breed and the mileage, honestly, is only working in your favor.
So jelly.
I will say i always used cheapy remans optis after i killed my gm one, i killed a few more, my doing (if you forgwt to plug in the vent the will fill with water) and i spun mine to 7k atleast once a day. Never had a problem that wasnt my own doing.
Optis are alot more reliable than the internwt would have you believe, if you keep the internals dry. Most are misdiagnosed.
As said earlier they do have a big problem with wires, most of the cheap oe styles arc after they age a little. IIRC you can run 7.5mm in the factory holders. I think i ran taylor 8mms and righed thw factory holders. Summit sells the taylors in 7.5 and 8mm for like 40 or 50 bucks if you do it again.
Check the opti harness. It runs along the base of the manifold on the pass side and it chafes were it runs from the manifold down to the opti, alot of people have problems witb the wiring and replace a bunch of optis trying to figure it out. A few years ago they srill make replacements for like 30 bucks.
I haven't done any more work on the car, still running great. I have a few things for it (and it needs a few more), but I haven't had time. The left turn signal doesn't cancel and the horn doesn't work. Those should be easy fixes.
It came with new carpet that the PO had bought several years ago and never installed. I don't know why he bought black carpet instead of the original light grey, but I'll install it.
I took it to a track night at Road Atlanta a couple weeks ago. That was a blast. First time I'd driven there.
