Damn I think this is a first for me. I've hit page two and I haven't even done anything to the car.

I can attest that those wheels are freaking huge.

Now I'm sad I bought a crappy truck rather than a Q45 . At least now I'll eventually have a means of dragging things home, though.

Regarding the cheating rage thing - I know of someone whose Aston Martin was totalled via baseball bat when his "friend's" husband came home .

To make single space lines, hit the space bar two times at the end of the line of text then hit return.

I'd tell you what it is but then ... well you know the rest.

NordicSaab wrote: I feel the need to come up to you one weekend and turbo this... that would be epic.

I'm worried about the amount of power it has now. Remember this engine is to be swapped into something else. My goal was 250hp not 340hp but yea what could go wrong with adding another 100hp or 2.

I want to bring back the Q45 for an all Q45 class I want to have a hand in parking lot building of the TrailerParkCet I want to get a chance to drive two other Q45s I've bought nothing yet. What to do?

Step one- buy nissan quest.
Step two- buy some flavor of q45.
Step three- combine and shake vigourously.
Step four, acquire several battery sawzalls.
Step five- after day one, sawzall for day 2.

Damn, three months and I haven't done E36 M3. I bought some clear vinyl wrap off eBay for the rear window back in May. Today I went to the you pull it yards. Only one Q45 of the years I was looking for but it still had it's limited slip. We pulled that. Had a sad moment when I walked down the old car row and saw my old 60 Cadillac that I sold 5 years ago. Guess the guy didn't restore it like he said he would. Made plans to pull the engine once it's cooler. So budget. Challenge budget: Before $200 Differential $59.99 Total $259.99 Real World: Before $931.56 Vinyl wrap $17.88 Differential (tax/core) $76.48 Total $1025.92

Clear vinyl as windows... I like that idea. If my rear windows are vinyl I blame you 100%.

Too late, my ex already blames me 100%.

It actually looks better now that the heat has tightened it up.

First picture of the actual build. My son announced that he found a secret compartment. Turns out it was the ashtray. I looked in the one on the opposite door and not a big surprise considering.

OK 8 new wheel studs later we test fitted the Challenge wheels and tires. The 275s fill it out very nice.

I'm glad I won't be the one with the Q45 and skinny tires.

Still a little disappointed you didn't just find some race tires for the 22"s

Yes but will your Q45 have enough power to turn bigger tires?

So we got back on it this evening. Since the exhaust was rusted through right in front of the resonators we decided to remove from there back to make getting the differential easier to get out. Here I'm showing the leg method of holding the exhaust up as we take it off the hangers. After the exhaust was out we started on the differential. At this point I think I was cussing out the Japanese engineer that decided to put clips for the abs harness and breather tube on top of the subframe. After the cussing was over the differential came out. Here's our open differential on the right and the donor LSD on the left. At this point the pizza arrived and we called it a night. Hopefully more tomorrow.
