What's the redline on that bad boy?
Im going to guess around 4k rpm!
Actual redline might be around 5000RPMs, but it isn't making any power up there.
Mine shifts at ~3750 RPMs and the EFI exhaust and intake flow worlds better than your setup
So I did a thing. Ever impulse buy a part you know you won't need for awhile?
I've been seeing rumblings about how the Offy intakes have been on and off backorder for quite awhile. If you look now nobody shows them in stock and the prices have really started to climb. Plus the back order dates seem to bump out before they are shown in stock.
For example Summit shows the C series back ordered with a price of $655
I noticed Speedway still listed them at 400 bucks, with a backorder to the end of Feb. I was curious if I would be able to lock one in at that price so last Sunday I put an order in. I was expecting a situation like the rear sway bar where I might get lucky and get the manifold in 6-8 months. Which would be fine because I have no plans to do engine mods this winter (Too many other things going on to open that can of worms) and I am still figuring out exactly how deep I want to go when the time comes. Or I would get an email saying "Sorry, price increased. Pay up sucka!".
Anyway, Monday morning I got an email that it shipped. Wasnt expecting that!
Today the UPS dude dropped it off.
This is going to look GREAT sitting on my shelf for awhile.

That's purdy! Be even purddy'er when it's does get installed! Even in a van where jon q. public won't see it... but we'll know
As I was wrapping up some clutch adjustments I noticed movement in the z bar bracket on the trans. Its got a fatigue crack. Nothing some welding amd reinforcement wont fix!

That’s hot for sure. I’m assuming you’ll be glamming up the exhaust side of the equation too, let me be the first to endorse split headers!
Wow, Hank has a nose for crack That was close to total failure, good catch.
This weekend I knocked out a couple projects Ive been wanting to do for awhile.
Added a battery isolator for the house battery.
All that was hooked up to the house battery before was the heater. I added a couple powered USB ports and a "cigarette lighter" outlet
I added a new front plate.
Here is a little teaser until the snow clears and I can take it out for a couple beauty shots....
Just noticed the valve stem cap. Nice touch

I think you mean "Dice touch".
Went for a little drive this afternoon to blow the cobwebs out and show off the new look.
A friend, in the late '70s, said they must've passed a law requiring "turbine" wheels on vans!
Looking good!

Its true! The state sent me a letter and said I couldn't renew the registration without Turbines or Slots.
Oooh! I forgot about slots on vans, for a moment!

Awesome sleeper/sleeping van. Learned to drive in a very similar 1981 brown E100 with 300 & C6, schag carpet & paneled walls.
I think we'll be teammates at Pittrace. Hopefully this fine machine be at the track, parked with KeircarMike's ambulamps and my little camper trailer. We'll have a 'Merkury Project' homeless encampment. I live in a van/trailer down by the north paddock!

I'm pro-turbine-wheel, and I vote.

As lapsed operator of turbomachinery I regret that I can only upvote this post once. Those look great! (Yeah, my 80's just showed a bit. )

We will be there! However we will not be camping in the van, we are bringing a boring car that can cruise the interstate faster and grabbing a hotel. We are lame!

Which car are you guys running? We will be there with only two cars (Mazda3 and RX7), in the upper garages and hosting the Saturday night pot luck.
It just keeps getting better. Proceed, sir!
A couple shots from a drive in the Catskills yesterday.
