There's something different about this RAV4.

Can't quite put my finger on it, but something isn't right. It's kinda like that time I accidentally walked into a gay bar in Baton Rouge. I didn't know. Looked like every other small 500 sq ft bar in the swampland at 10 in the morning. Bunch of guys sitting at the bar drinking beer. I sat down, ordered a beer and... something just wasn't right. Couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something just wasn't right. Then it dawned on me: They were all talking about sucking each other dicks. I mean dorks. Or is it 'Tards'? Can't keep up with it. Anyway, that's ALL they were talking about and I realized where I was. Chugged down what was left of my beer and left.

So, this RAV, it looks like all the other RAV's, right? But what's different?

Either you're really excited about its Limited edition status or i have no clue.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say that the tailpipe isn't functional and there's a monster turbocharger feeding the 3S-whatever under the hood.

Hey, RAV4's didn't come with intermittent windshield wipers. Someone replaced that stalk. I think that's from a Lexus or a Celica. And... There it is. There's a USB stick plugged into the stereo. Way later than 1st Gen RAV4 era. And is that an Alpine? That must be what's different. Yup, this thing's been upgraded for toons.

Is that perhaps a boost gauge I see?

Dunno. Looks like Fuel, Temp, RPM and a clock to me.

The manual trans is less common especially in an upper model like an L.

If the Rav4 is at your house the thing that is different is it is not a Lexus

I have lots of things that aren't Lexus. Well, lemme see, 86 RN Truck, "something different" RAV4, Locost with a 4AGE, Europa with a 1NZFE plus turbo, stock Europa TCS, 3 Harleys. See, lots of not Lexus. Well, some, I guess.

There it is. That air cleaner is not stock. No berkeleying way did it come with a cone air filter. Some kinda ricer mod right there. And I think that crankcase vent filter won't pass CARB visual. Good thing I escaped from the PRC.

That dip stick is a dead give away! It's not stock! I like this thread already...

Bingo, there it is, that's a different shade of yellow from the normal dipstick. Mystery solved.
