Mechanically needs a clutch master cylinder.

Young owner was quoted  450 per month to insure.

Missing? Passenger windshield wiper

Very shocked 23 year old here paying half that on 2 cars. I would have let go of it too. Young must mean barely legal to drive young here.

When I was roughly your age, the Impreza 2.5RS was a new car, and Flo's insurance company told me that is how much my premiums would be per month if I were to buy one.  And that was in 1998 dollars.

Newsflash:  I didn't buy one.  My apartment was $375 a month and I was making seven bucks an hour, no way was I doing to be throwing $800+ a month for a depreciating asset, especially not when everyone kept saying the WRX was going to be coming Next Year, We Mean It This Time.

They made a manual non V? I had no idea.

It was the caddy that zigs!

Can't remember if it was only the 2.8 that you could get a manual transmission.

Needs taillights. VHT Nightshades should be considered war crimes.

It also has no badges, which screams "I was rearended and the shady bodyshop billed the insurance company for them and didn't put them on, kicking the money back to me to cover the deductible".  Which is a thing that happens a remarkable number of times, judging how every one of my friends who'd been in a collision got that offer from the body shop.

No matter what, it means the car had been repainted at some point in its life, which is a valuekiller.

You can see the outline of the CTS adhesive residue on the trunk lid so more likely someone removed them, probably the same person who thought tinted taillights were a good idea.

Assuming all goes through,  this comes home tomorrow.

What is scrap value?   It starts.   Has a new clutch.   Needs a master clutch cylinder

I just scrapped a few cars last week and it was $100 per ton.

84 cents later, I have a running & driving car.

Not the official 200 master cylinder with integrated clip.  However with a little light dremel work,  it works.

Anyone know if the 6 speed bolted to the 2.8L was the same 6 speed used in the V?

Yes, no.

Not by a long shot.  The V had a T56, the 2.8 probably would strain itself just to rotate that trans.

PM Mr Knurled.  He gave me a price.

I’m out, because the thing is in MI and I am not. And because if my wife found out, I’d WISH I was in MI...

...or further!!

Thanks Knurled!  It’s not gonna for my life right now.

Well,   I've gotten a bit of interest and part of me wants to keep it (so I can keep miles off my truck).

But,  if a GRM guy gives me $1K, it could probably be yours.       From the limited driving around my subdivision, the only thing keeping it from driving long distance safely would be tires.

225/65/16   on  5x115 GM high offset wheels.

Otherwise, it may get listed locally for 1500-1700.

If this is still available near challenge time and my challenge car falls through, I might need this.
