at about this time another large crate shows up and look whats inside. A nice shinny new LS7. Little modification that were done are; Stage 3 granatelli cam kit, Katech high volume pump Ported intake. ARE dry sump pan. Custom intake snorkel. I'll show you later.

Mounted radiator, battery and fans Since engine is the rear and radiator up front, you need to run some plumbing.

Next up was the fuel system. Factory set up has two separate systems that you control with a switch. I'm not smart enough to remember is I fill the other tank or not. So I reconfigures for two tanks from Fuel Safe and plumbed them to act as one tank. Sorry no photos of tanks. On to mounting the rims to the chassis for the first time. Then on to the side pods that they think will hold luggage

On to some interior work. First was the gauge and switch layout. All of this is done with the body off the car for easy access to wiring. Once body is on forget about getting under the dash.

Next install side pod body and drop center section in place, the guess what? more rivets. this time to install firewall and other accessories. And finally the engine and transaxle (G50/50 modified by California motor sports)are dropped into place. I wish there was a away to upload video, as this engine sound angry at idle.

Exhaust installed and coated with Swains White lightning.

Next back to the interior, Shifter assembly installed and raised to make it a little easier.

Dash is covered in Black leather, Aim GT320 steering wheel and switches mounted.

That all the build photos I have uploaded so far. But here is the best news.

On May 11, 2015 I have the final inspection with DMV. Hopefully if all goes well I can start doing shake down runs next week.

If I'm seeing the pictures clearly enough it appears he's running 245s in the front and 335s in the back

This is spectacular. I really enjoy the Grassroots builds that may seem extravagant on first viewing, like this one. Truth be told, this IS Grassroots. A car built by the owner/ driver to whoop up on cars costing several times what it does. APPLAUSE!

Thanks for sharing.

I just watched two of these guys run One Lap. It spent an inappropriate amount of time drooling over the cars. I want one.

I love the kitcar builds.

Thanks for sharing, and I hope inspection goes well. Id love some in car video/audio of the first shake down run, please, if for no other reason than to hear your mad scientist laugh the first time you wail on it.

So, this looks to be date-wise prior to a evolution model. Though I think I can pick out some of the updated tubes and braces. Which is it?

Also, I would like to know what the budget is. This is very relevant to my interests.

Budget is surely in the 6-digits but this should be competitive with 7-digit cars

BTW you can upload videos to YouTube and then link to them from this thread.

I know at one point, the kit was around 50-60k. Then you needed trans and engine. That's the whole car. So really, you could get it done for under 6 digits. Just depends on how you went about it.

No, I have never run numbers on this car.....

Pretty fantastic build, can't wait to see it all done.

I'd have bought a pneumatic rivet gun by now if I were you.
