I could ruin it but I knew about this a few weeks ago.....It's a nice looking ride.
Should have told you to grab the sweet aqua E150 in the background while you were there.
haha. YOU are the evil person who made me spent ALL this money and got my wife into it!!!
MERRY X MAS IS COSTA RICA my friend
When we arrived at the owners house, him and his wife were VERY gracious. Truly a gentleman. We went for a test drive. My kids were giddy with the "roll up windows like the mini cooper!"
Drove great! Wife was very happy.
It was as described. MINT condition. 0 rust. Drove fantastic. Every single thing worked. Well loved, garaged all its life in dry climate 150k miles.
Handed over certified check, and owner helped me load up. Gave me some extra straps and carbines etc. Heck even filled up with a full tank of gas, and all maintenance receipts.
Bone stock gem. Just what she was looking for.

When you factor in everything they can do at once, super tow rig, family hauler, luxury car with decent mpg's at the same time, their popularity makes sense. Only thing they don't do well is fit places.
I think people dd them because they don't have space or money (or both) for another vehicle lol. So take the parking penalty and have a do it all vehicle.
We made a family trip out of it. Some lakes, some snow, and spent about 4 days exploring nature.
Truck sat on the trailer - poor thing getting snowed on .

Daaaamn that couldn't of been cheap! Nice!
Got her home late last night and got her unloaded.
Gave her a quick bath to clean up.
We did a 100 mile drive this morning. Such a smooth ride. Brand new shocks and tires along with tons of other maintenance. Love the fishbowl look.
Jealous of wife's new ride for sure!!!!!
Old woman in a SL550 came up to us at the gas station "WOW such a cool vehicle" HAHA.
Some interior and motor shots
Funny thing, wife of seller asked my wife "IS THAT OUR DODGE"
Wife replied: no, we borrowed it.
Seller's wife: WHEH glad to hear that. If we knew you were dodge people, we weren't sure if we would sell to you!
LOL
---------------
I am surprised how tight and nice all the seals are. Not a single drop of water inside when the car was washed. The door close "clunk" is exactly like a Benz G Waggen (without the window regulator problems).
On the highway, no wind, no whistling noise. Truly a GEM
I don't care what you paid for it, I'm jelly as all get out. That thing is rad!
So where's the time machine you used to go back and buy a new Cruiser?

I mean its no G Waggen money....
and if the wife wanted to buy it, who am I to say no...
Though she isn't keen on me driving it
Glad you all made it home ok. Nothing like Tahoe in the winter time :)
Wow I was not expecting an fj60. Beautiful truck!
I have a fuel injection kit with a header for one if you decide you are over carburetors...
Wow, that thing is mint. Up here that thing would be a rusted out shell.

Yeah fun road trip. We got the sunny Donner Lake, then we got the 3 inch Tahoe. All mix of weather.
Safe and sound

I recognize that building! I'm currently on my way to my winter home in Truckee.
That is a GEORGOUS example of an FJ60. Wheels are perfect, no usual rust spots, amazing color. She sure one-upped you :D

Small world! Yeah we were there 4 days. Lucky dog, for your winter home you have, sir!
No doubt about one upping. Not a single smidge of rist...as you said....not even on the wheels...
Glad you made it home! Towing in the snow ain't fun. But it looks awesome. Looks brand new in the pics.

Thanks! Pics does it justice. It is as good in the pics, and drives brand new. Tight as a drum. Was up at the rosebowl today with it.
Yeah driving someone elses truck and towing this in the snow = new lesson. Thank god for diesel engine brakes. So many people with car haulers passed me -as they were doing 75/80. They had balls of steel.
No trouble yet - but i am sure WILL have some. Are you looking to help?
Need to smog/vin verify/register.
