I guess since it was in the Northwest it had to have been in a rain a few times :)
Such a cool car ....
Car never saw rain till my ownership. It has never seen NW rain (5 years it lived there) - thus the low miles
First 3 days of my ownership one of the biggest storms on the west coast
today sitting outside in rain - as I have the Land Cruise in the office now

Thank you. It was totally worth it. I have been thinking of selling my Elise I ordered new, because the Evo has me feeling like a 4 door Elise. The steering and handling has me mesmerized.
That said - wife wont let me sell the Elise.

Thanks Prof!
I surprised myself with my own patience. However, this time it was worth every bit of the problem
I really had a lot of work to get done this morning before heading out for a meeting but reading this was well worth how busy my afternoon will be. What a story.
Congrats!

Thank you very much for the nice words! Have a good day and thanks for a nice start to my Friday
Evo in rain to office today - its splendid - I lve the sedan rear window wiper - I am such a nerd
ex owner called me few nights ago - said his neighbor showed him online links to the $70k one on BAT and Almost 60k one on Daddy dougs site (both will go a lot higher) - that he sold it too low.
I just reassured him car is being well taken care of and enjoyed
final hammer of $90,000.
buy new. don't drive. spend $35,000 modifying. don't drive. get old. sell.

I dunno, I just can't do that. I don't buy cars to have them sit there and not be used at all. It pains me that I only put a few thousand miles a year on my 911, I wish I used it more.
Your patience deserved this win. I've owned nearly 150 vehicles and I can't say I've ever pursued someone that hard to buy a car. In retrospect it looks to have been well worth it. Fantastic car and well bought!

Thanks similar to you 100s of car owned - never something like this... but in retrospect really glad I did it. Car turned out fantastic and paper profit is fun to watch
Have a nice weekend
In reply to Placemotorsports :

had a fantastic day putting 150 miles of twisties yesterday
a friend was visiting from nyc
so took him out in the elise and wife brought the Evo. she was boosting pretty hard - was a fun day playing cat and mouse
Merry Christmas to all
Just got home from some travels! And got this in the mail from my GRM buddy
how cool is that?!
I have to say, your realtor has good taste in vehicles.
Evos and Elises are cool cars, not that I'm biased or anything .

Thanks Tim! I don't want to think how he is spending my commission money
Haha - me and you are twinsies when it comes to our car taste.
Happy Holidays to your family.

He sold it at the right price because he added five figures worth of difficulty in purchase.

Very much so, and Happy Holidays to your family as well!

No doubt about it Pete. All I can say is, it has been one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever owned.
docwyte said:Yeah, can you imagine that guy answering all the questions on a BaT auction?
I would have gotten the car cheaper on BaT - since with no owner engagement, it would have been a hard fail
I am glad it wasn't on BaT. In case he got his neighbor to work the auction for him, I know I would have had to pay another $30K more than I paid for the car.
