Looks like it left the factory like that!
Saw the GLK up for auction and wanted to come here and thank you for all the work you've done and shared. It's been inspiring to see someone else out here doing this stuff and helpful when I ran into a few issues.
I have the M156/6-speed 500E and have also done 2 CLK63 Black Series manual swaps so far and many more scheduled. I sent the ECUs to Josh at MSS to add the resistors but I'll probably do future ones myself. The 500E doesn't have a clutch switch, he just did something with the tune to make it not care. Hyatt is right, I do this for a living and don't post much about how I make it work, but I try not to be too gate-keepery when people ask how.
But of course I also have a question. Did you ever run into any ESP trouble? The CLKBSs give me an "ESP Inoperative" message when first started which goes away, no lights or anything, and then acts normal. But when I go into the ESP in SDS it doesn't give me any coding options or even tell me whats wrong apart from a code for an ECU mismatch.

Never had a problem with ESP. I coded my ABS module from automatic to manual and that was the only change I needed to make there. You should get away from DAS/Xentry for coding and use Vediamo, it's much more powerful.
It's funny MSS is working on the ECU for you. When I reached out he told me he'd done dozens of swaps and you just plug in the clutch switch input and it just works. Nice to see he's benefiting off of work that I figured out now.

So when it comes down to it I really don't know that much about the software side of things. Generally enough to accomplish what I need in DAS but I really need to learn more. Most of my time is spent on the hardware side of things for putting M113s in W108s and stuff like that. Is Vediamo just software, or is there a hardware component as well? Will it work with my C3 multiplexer?
He's been picking up a lot of tricks in short order as I and undoubtedly many others are prodding him to do more with these ECUs. At first he just told me to plug in pin 26 and that didn't do anything. No doubt he learned about the modifications here. When you reached out we'd only really done ME2.8s, the 500E was the first ME9.7 build. I'd love to do everything myself but when it comes down to it I just don't have the time for everything. What year ME9.7 are you using? The early ones seem way simpler than the later ones inside.

Yeah you can use your C3 with Vediamo. Vediamo is MB engineering software, you can do variant coding and module flashing with it.
I'm using a 2010 E550 ME9.7. They should all be the same though V8 to V8 and V6 to V6.
You'll need to log in to post.
