Yeah, I've got VCDS for my VW/Audi's that works great. Should probably buy a durametric for the Cayenne, as the icarsoft POR II doesn't do everything, but all I've got for the XTerra is a really basic OBD2 scanner. Nothing that could log ABS sensors, bleed the pump, etc.
I've never had an ABS module/pump go bad on me. That's just not a failure a German car has. Next Fall this needs to go with my daughter to college and she's not mechanically inclined at all. Really hope this is the last hiccup it has for awhile.

The other day it threw a check engine light. Scanned it and got P0101, which seems to be either the MAF sensor or an air leak upstream of the MAF sensor. It's got a new intake boot post MAF, so that's not it. I pulled the MAF, cleaned it and cleared the code. A few days later it's back. I need to check out the vacuum lines and maybe the egr lines too. If they're good, then I'll buy a new MAF and see what happens...

Traded this in last night for a 2019 Tiguan. Did ok on the trade value, lost money overall when you consider the repairs it needed, which included a rather expensive set of catalytic convertors. It was a decent SUV but I'm glad it's gone. When it threw a CEL, the fix was never what the CEL was for, and figuring it out was often frustrating as there just aren't good Nissan shops around me.
