Alright, going down to the MX3 on Saturday morning, planning on completely disassembling that car in one day.
Assuming i ONLY have hand tools and a hoist, is the easiest way to get this thing out to lift the car off the cradle, and disassemble from there?
Remove subframe and suspension, lift car off and move out of the way? Then break down into small enough chunks that it all fits in the Cherokee?

hoist? As in engine hoist? I say motor out the top, lifting the whole car is gonna suck.
Yep, engine hoist.
FWIW, the ceiling at this place is a good 15ft high or so.

Problem is- if you don't have an i-beam or something strong enough to hoist the whole car up on- you're kinda screwed.
I've pulled an engine before by dropping the subframe and lifting the front end of the car with an engine hoist. Wasn't hard at all.

One of these, only need to lift the front end. Could probably do it without one if i had two big guys help me out.

Easier than pulling motor out the top? The main appeal to me is that there will be less disassembly necessary before the motor comes out. As in, don't have to mess with axles and such.

Yea I thought it was easier. It was on a Scirocco so there was much less parts to move out of the way going out the bottom rather than the top.

I built one of these 10 years ago, but mine was a drag car. I relocated my MC reservoir to clear the JDM KL-ZE manifold.
Your build looks amazing!! Mine was pure budget.

You aren't the one on Streetfire running mid 13s and sounding unholy, are you?
I'm re-locating the reservoir as well, already have the parts on order, but i don't think it'll look as neat as yours does!
What did you do in terms of fuel pump?
Or water temp, tach, and speedo?
I'd like to retain my factory cluster working for now.

yes, thats me on Streetfire, I have no idea who posted it, wasn't me.
Fuel pump was stock, zero issues. Harness is plug and play, simplest swap ever. ECU plugs right in. You need a USDM distributor. I had to lengthen 1 wire to the alt. IIRC.
All the gauges worked, but I had to do something with the tach I think. The car was a DD for a while. It was FAST!
Best time was a 13.4 at 102.5 on M/T slicks, I kept snapping axles though.
