I have a 90k mile silver 00 mr2 spyder with a haas/gt28 turbo, emanage blue witha tune that ran great on 7psi for ten years. I was trying to push the limits a little more and exceeded the mechanical limitations of one of the rods. It has some suspension upgrages, chassis braces, a really nice top, and oz supperleggeras. Shoot me an offer if you're interested. It's a great car that I'd rather not deal with fixing at the moment because of the e36m3 ton of other project cars I have going on at the moment.

could you post some pictures? Do you have a ballpark figure you are looking for?
As far as pictures, its a never seen salt 00 silver mrs. Im too lazy to photobucket and all that right now. It looks like this almost exactly (hotlink, might even be the p/o pics lol) same wheels/ stance/ color
It's in Massachusetts and I think around 5500 is fair. If I dont get in that vicinity, I'll build a core 1zz that I've got with forged internals and sell it for 10-12, I've had some interested parties at those #s but they want turn key and I have too much to deal with right now.
I can throw in the core 1zz that i have from the white car for that price if it helps the buyer.
Butt dyno said about 260whp when it all went wrong, in a 2000lb mr car, it felt fantastic. Forged internals will handle as much as the tranny will (rumored to be fragile past 350ish).
For 7 I'll throw in a 2zzge that I've got. Haas makes a cast manifold to adapt it to this kit iirc.

I know somebody selling a complete engine for one of these, too.
So, a bump and an update. I bought an engine from an allegedly 90k spyder that was in a front impact, did a meticulous engine replacement topped off all the fluids and it rattles a bit. I'd say rod bearings. Engine seller said he is now getting devorced and is now homeless (lol, sure) and thus won't make good on the motor that he swore ran great when pulled.
During replacement I found the cause of the last motor's demise, a split hose going from the boost controller to the wastegate (doh!), the offending hose is now replaced with samco. I really didn't have time to deal with it the last time I put a motor in it (but the swap is meticulously, perfectly done, no corners cut whatsoever, like torque every fastener attention to detail), and I definitely have no time to do yet another.
It's a really nice little car with a bunch of nice mods. You could probably drive it home a fair distance, it runs great and strong but it is a bit noisy.
I can email pictures to interested parties.
So is it currently running with the turbo setup or is it stock powered? Also, what's the current asking price?

Turbo 1zz, emanage blue, runs awesome (this setup/tune made 214@wheels in my white car), thick oil makes it quiet as brand new. You could probably just run it like that forever. Cusco bars f+r, strut bracing, tanabe springs, oz wheels, new staggered yokos (s drives?), clean, original (as far as I can tell and I've got a good eye) previous owner claims never saw salt, rust free body. other cool stuff that I'm forgetting. $5k, grm pricing.
Probably a long shot, but any interest in a 2007 HD Sportster? Rubber mount, fuel injected, 4100 miles and super clean. If at all interested in a trade plus some cash, PM me here or email at w650gb500@gmail-dot-com.
