I know absolutely nothing about these things but it seems like a solid deal for one of these things. NMNA

Not a deal. I paid a tick over that for an "S" car with about 1/3 of the mileage five years ago.

You can find an S for about the same price.

In reply to gearheadmb:

Seems high to me for a non-S with that many miles. The Midlands 5 spd in those cars can be troublesome. The lack of cruise control would be a severe negative to some (like me).

On the plus side, it's a somewhat rare color combo (Black w/ white roof) and doesn't have a sunroof.

I'd need to see in person to say what a good price would be. These cars have reached that age where prices will be all over the map depending on miles and condition. Simply saying you can get an S for less doesn't really matter anymore. The reality is the cars weren't that different in price when new (about 10% more for the S) and 11 years later condition and miles mean more than options.

I'd bet I could find a half-dozen things wrong or not working on that "Everything works great!" S in Seattle...

The only time I've ever seen a Tritec that didn't leak oil was when it was freshly installed. That statement right there would be a huge red flag for me.
