Their listing is a little misleading. The ford 3.0 duratec and manual transmission was a factory option, so their swap was a direct replacement. The manual transmission is not "super rare" like they say. The standalone is an interesting choice though
2004 mazda6 v6 is specced at 220hp and 2010 escape v6 is specced at 210hp. Both same block but I think the Mazda heads had magic sprinkles on it.
The price doesn't feel that crazy, mostly because everything costs three times what it used to all of a sudden, not because it's that great of a deal.
Having had one of those in the past, I think that the price for a NICE on isn't terrible. I miss mine but it was getting pretty worn out.
Those are good looking cars and can be nice drivers if the front end isn't worn out.
I'd want to drop the undertray and take a good look at the front subframe, even in a non-rusty climate.
