I grew up in Canada in the 1950s and 60s, so British cars were common. My parents had at least five that I can remember. I see something like this and I immediately want to restomod it with modern suspension and drive train, like using an NA Miata as a donor.

That's a couple of hours from me, and I had the thought "wonder if I could drive it home?" and then the ad explicitly addressed my question, with "no, no you may not." Saved me a message!
To my surprise, there are two Hillman Minxes for sale right now. This one is down in North Carolina.
Very cool! On the wrong coast for me, but could be fun for someone.
When I was a teenager, my dad somehow came to own a Hillman Husky (the two-door wagon version of the Minx) and we used it is an econo-beater for local trips where we needed a little bit of cargo capacity, had a dirty load, and didn't need passenger space or highway speeds.
I sometimes fantasize about dropping a Husky body with wide flares on top of a cut-down Miata chassis. 😁
The family had a series of small cars when I was small - a Minx was among them. I remember really liking bouncing around in the back seat in the Minx. Seemed like the roof was a long way up back then. Also, don't think there were any seatbelts to tangle me up...
When I acquired a couple of little brothers and (eventually) a little sister, the family cars got much bigger. At one point, we had a '66 Plymouth Fury III with a 383 (an ex-police car), that I think spanned a couple of time zones.

The TL;DR: I got to drive a bunch of these cool British sedans.
