I remember fairly recently when that SWB Forward Control would have actually been something that was regularly given away.
I see well over a grand there now, and I am notoriously cheap.

Seriously. This is close to my family's cabin in the Poconos and I will be dragging a car trailer (currently empty) back. from there later this year. I clould deliver it to Stampie.
Wow, I would really like to own that. They're super sketchy, but I actually prefer the 150 to the 170.
My uncle had two of them at his lawnmower shop when I was a little kid.
My in-laws inherited three of those. Two that I've seen in CA, and one that allegedly lives in TN. One of the CA ones was partly restored and lives inside. The other has been parked outside forever. It hardly rains in the central valley though, so it's still in ok condition.
I'm copying the photos here before they disappear.
I think that third, upper wiper was added by someone.
To just give an idea of size, the wheelbase of the long Forward Control is the same as a Jeep Scrambler or Jeepster (103")
This is the standard one, and has a WB of just 81", which is the same as a CJ5 or an inch longer tha a Suzuki Samurai.
I made an exocage for a friend of mine who used his $200 FC150 offroad. It routinely would lift the rear end off the ground on downhills. This was a common occurrence, and Jeep added a couple hundred pound weight behind the rear axle in later years just to keep them from flopping onto their homely little faces.
I personally love them, and believe Brooks Stevens knocked it out of the park with the design, which is probably understandable from the guy responsible for the Harley FL, Jeep Wagoneer, and Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

Deleted before I could try and work out some strange no meet deal from 1500 miles away.
My neighbor in Northern CA had one when I was a wee lad of 3. It was green with an aluminum camper on the back. Inside the camper was a map of the world and I remember him telling me that it had been driven around the world. He had a cool 3 wheeled fiberglass electric car too that he had built. I wish I knew what happened to them.
I have always liked how this one is done with a corvette suspension and a LS motor placed sorta midship.
