It is the lower quality early build version assembled by Jensen in the UK.
This of course makes it collectible and more valuable!
Interesting location to find one of these.

I think that I remember seeing Texas vintage plates on a since deleted photo. We have an air force base that brings a lot of interesting cars up here to farm truck country.
