I've heard good things about this seller from the other custom van seller in the area. No personal experience with him, however.

That is incredibly good looking for what it is. Wonder why the price is so low? Just not as desirable as the same era Econolines?
Why three pedals with a 350 transmission?

In reply to akylekoz :
Because it isn't the original transmission?
(TH350 was introduced 4 years after this van was made)

I also wonder if this isn't the actual price, since it is the same as the model year of the van.
Price seems low. If one of you buys it I've got the trans to swap back to manual. Because like many GRMers I have have waaaaay to many parts for vehicles I don't currently own. Also have other parts for that era Chevy van I need to get out of the attic. and make go away.

I literally saw this yesterday on my own, while searching for conversion vans (not sure why it came up).
Had some impure thoughts about crossing the country in it (hence conversion van) but realized while it might be the most photogenic/memorable, it might not be the most... reliable.
Aw man, I had one once upon a time! VERY cool, but slamming on the brakes when stoned you think you're gonna fall out of the windshield!
I had an aluminum frame bed that folded up against the wall and forks welded to the doghouse to plant a Moto-Cross bike front tire into. Here's a Tip: If you slash your hand on a tree branch and fix it with electrical tape, do not drive the bike into the van and then stall it out by dropping the clutch. That just kicks the board out and you lay in the parking lot with a motorcycle on your chest leaking gas,, bleeding from your hand and rethinking your hobby choices.
If I didn't just buy the Cadimino I'd be all over this!
BTW, Chevy Vega seats bolt right in.
I didn't catch the third pedal!
Not sure about the asking price either. If I were in the market for it I'd certainly call him on it.
My dad drove one of these for a while when I was younger. We called it the "Bat Van."
Wonder if he'd take a BMW in trade...
EDIT: Price updated to $7800
if its still posted its probably NOT the $1965 price......
That seems to be one of the problems with FB marketplace.

Came here to post this very thing.
cool van, not $7,800 cool though...
I wonder why folks aren't up front on pricing. CList folks put a $1 up - why?
Make it easy - if it's $7800 be up front and keep the $1965 callers at bay.
I'm betting he accidently put the year in the price box.

No, he knew what he was doing. (Or what he wanted to do) He flips stuff on Marketplace all the time. And didn't want to list a real price because he wanted to know what he was going to get for offers. And generate more interest than his atual price would. Just like when people price at $1234 or $35 for something that is $3500.
But this never works the way anyone thinks it will. I never contact anyone that doesn't list a real price, or simply posts "Make an Offer" If you are selling something, list what you want out of it. If you can't figure out what you want, it isn't really for sale. I'm not going to drive 20 minutes-3 hours to check something out without a real price. And I am not going to make an offer on something with 5 blurry photos. When I am looking for a vehicle, I specifically enter a price range that will filter out all the useless $1 $12, $37, and $123 asking prices on CL and Marketplace.
