That is glorious.
That is, even to my outdated financial thoughts, a great deal
That is near me.
Sadly, way outa range.
Id love to make it a street car, again
Those 2 liter engines had a lot more oomph than the 1600s but parts are hard to find and expensive. That said, this looks like a killer deal.

When I bought my Datsun Roadster (1966) in 1990 an SCCA racer gave me pros/cons of both engines and he leaned towards the simplicity and lower cost of the 1600 engine.

Yes, I can see that. The Two Litre engine was a mash up with the 1600 block and an FIA qualification cylinder head. The 1600 is much simpler and easy to maintain relative the Two Litre but it's down about 40 ponies in stock form and probably closer to 70 in race trim. The Two Litre head had huge ports and valves. The cam/lifter arrangement was "stolen" from Benz and could turn quite a bit more revs. The most difficult part for the Two Litre was the cam/jackshaft timing chain design. Lotsa parts and lotsa stuff to fail. If I was still fooling around with those (and there is no reason to other than nostalgia 'cuz there lotsa other better platforms for less money) I'd be putting a much newer mill in it like a DET or a K24.
