Something you won't see every day. Patina is overdone imo, not cheap and no details on how an E90 chassis was grafted but pretty cool nevertheless

I have a 1971 MB 280 se (w108) body on a 2011 BMW 335d (e90) sport chassis for sale. I built this car. I love this car. I hate to see it go, but I also wouldn't mind the cash.

The chassis has about 121k miles. The engine (m57 turbo diesel) has about 96k miles.
Registered as a 71 Benz in CA (smog exempt)
Full delete and Malone stage 2.9 tune. Sitting at an estimated 400 hp and 600 ft lbs torque. Launch control!- no traction control or ABS
Sport model- paddle shifters and bolstered seats.
Custom 18x8 steel wheels
Brembo 6 piston big brake kit (front)
ATM intake and exhaust
Schroth race harnesses for front seats- rear seats are installed but the harnesses make them unusable.

New (within 2k miles)
Alternator, battery (with reserve backup), power distribution panel, motor mounts, radiator, thermostat and water pump, power steering pump, tensioner and idler pulley, belt, vacuum lines, trans oil and filter, rear diff fluid, rear axles, carrier bearing- driveshaft center support, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, oil level sensor, fuel rail pressure sensors, camshaft position sensor, fuel filter, engine oil and filter (within 1k miles).

Tires are at about 75% - Nitto Nt555, staggered- 8 inch wide front 8.5 rear
Brake pads are at least 50%
Android touch screen head unit with navigation and backup camera.
Hella fog lights
Custom LED tail lights

This car is far from perfect, but it's a ton of fun and ready to drive while you make it your own.
You'll have the coolest car at the show, and turn all the heads on the road as you piss off the Ferrari's- all while getting 35mpg. I have put an estimated 7k miles on the car since owning it.

$35k

That's very very cool. Astronomic price though

90% of the time the word patina is used... its WAY too much!
That is horrible.
Car is cool, despite way overpriced.

I follow that guy. Always admired the car.

Always wondered what a M57 swapped into a 524td would be like.  This takes that concept into a different realm.  Really like this project .  Suspect living with all the warning lights would get annoying quickly, though.

Seller says, "I would prefer someone who knows the 335d well, and has the ability to continue working on the car."  Maybe because a 335d has the built in ability to throw a multitude of fault codes on its own without the Mercedes clothing?

Still, good thing it's on the other coast, and expensive.

The Mercedes emblem on the steering wheel is a nice touch.

Yep. Also only 6 warning lights with the big one for adaptive headlights which no longer exist so not too bad :)
