NMNA. Looks OK from here.

I'll never afford a Pantera, but I might actually like a Pinto Pangra better now anyway.

Oh look, here’s a basket-case Pangra for sale. Fortunately there's no price, which almost certainly means the seller wants way more than I'd be willing to pay.

Oh man! That's not even that far away from me. That would be an awesome vintage race car. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately I'm currently at toy car saturation.

Somebody should probably check inside the trailer.
Seller texted last night:
" Well, it's an unfinished project car, so there is that. Giving you as much as I can think of;
Underside of the body is good, subframe and floors are solid, only trouble area is on the inside of the driver's side rear quarter panel. There is a rust hole there. Rest of the car is good.
-- Starts and runs and will move under its own power. The issue is the ignition missing once the boost comes up high. Could be a sensor out of whack, could b an injector causing a lean issue, could be something else. I haven't had much time to troubleshoot it.
-- Fuel pump needs to be mounted, it's just strapped to the gas tank for now.
-- car has no heater or fan unit. I have it, but if you want heat you will have to reinstall.
-- speedo cable is not hooked up and may be broken.
-- interior needs to be put back in. I have carpet but never got around to installing it.
-- throttle cable linkage is touchy, cable bracket my need to be modified. Throttle is hard to push down until a certain point and then it's just fine. Funny angle?
There may be other stuff but the hard stuff is done."

It's a cool project that I don't really need. Would I want a Pinto track car? It's 4 hours east of me and the guy is only available after 6:00pm, so it looks like me on I-90 at night with an unknown on a tow dolly. I don't have a trailer and not sure if the Frontier car actually pull one.
Still staring at the ceiling when I should be sleeping ......
Dan
Man, the want is strong for that one. It's probably a good thing it's so far away.
My Pinto is one of the cars I wish I had never sold.

That is how you know its a good idea!
It may pull 7k on paper, but going up & down hills in real life?
I believe it is a good deal, but I have to weigh that against the age old time-skill-money comparison.
Man, this thing is just dying to be the parking lot build this year. Bring it to Gainesville and have the hive finish it.

What's your $ limit? You know you've set one.
The answer is always $750 so that you have wiggle room for half budget.
