I mean, the sheer ugliness of this car is breathtaking. Did one of you do it?
Was there a kit for this back in the day? There was exactly the same car for sale on Detroit CL last year, about the same money.
Reminds me of when one of the car mags stuffed a Cad 500 into a Chevette but it was not done in this manner.
as I remember they didn't handle very well with a 258 straight 6... I think the Caddy lump may not improve that........

In theory, per about 2 minutes of internet searches, I found info telling me the Caddy 500 weighs 150lb more than the 258 at most. So, yeah, not a change in the right direction but the change isn't as dire as you might think. The big Caddy V8's were really pretty good about weight management for the displacement available.
I still want no part of this thing personally.
They leave out a lot of important details on the 500. Is it a high compression early engine or a late low compression engine? Looks like an edlebrock intake but what else has been done to it?
I know putting aluminum intake on the big Cadillac engines drops a silly amount of weight, like 50lbs+. They don't weigh much more than a all iron SBC to begin with.

It needs to be painted like Garths car in Waynes World. Then it would be perfect.

Same car with same pics. Last May it was in MI now in KY. Seems fishy.
After re-reading the old thread, it seems the car is in Loiusville. Stranger and stranger.
