1980 amc spirit caged roller: mine

Ive come to the realization that i don't actually have the time to make this car what I want it to be, nor own what it is.

So, i have $800 on this pile. Want to break even quickly 

1980 amc spirit. Two time top 10 car, magazine feature after the 2017 challenge. Seam welded, caged, 3.73 track lock 8.8, 4 wheel disc brakes, custom amc front suspension, rear springs custom built on sliders. Has all mounts for small block ford drivetrain. Has manual  transmission pedal set, gas pedal, rear brake bias adjuster, wiring harness, wing, two sets of 15x10 steel wheels for nascar slicks, one set of avon formula Atlantic slicks. Quick release steering wheel. Hand built fiberglass flares.

30ft 2x3x1/8 new virgin square tube to make tube frame

Rx8 front suspension amd extra crossmember and sway bars. Electric rack, 13 inch brakes. Extra brakes as spares. Two extra hydraulic racks. 

Extra Gm steering column from geo tracker. Wiper assembly from tracker

Extra coil springs

Expired five point harnesses

Fire suppression 

Gauges 

17x8 mustang bullet wheels 

Radiator and electric fans 

Driveshaft

15x7 steel wheels with fresh-ish rires

Giant rear wing

Orher stuff i guarantee im forgetting. Probably lots of stuff im forgetting. Bring a trailer and empty truck bed. 

This is the build thread. Not all of the stuff i picked up goes with it, as im jumping on an ex nascar as the easy hillclimb car button that will be done years sooner. Thats why this has to go, and go soonish

If perhaps the new owner doesn't want the Bullit wheels, I'm interested in grabbing those from the pile.

Any chance the original dash cover with VIN is in the parts stash?

Darn it! I really wanted this last time and that want hasn't abated. Why does it have to be so far away and before my shop is done?

Vis is still present, i believe  pretty sure its stamped on the cowl. Ill double check in a little when i get home

The vin had been reattached to the cowl. 

It is not there anymore. It may be stamped somewhere else in the body though. Im not certain where that wpuld be. 

This is the closest to a vin i can quickly find 

Listed on Facebook for WAY higher. Id rather see it stay in the family though. 

On earlier AMC's the VIN is stamped behind the steering box on the frame rail. 

Is there any chance it's still there on this? Or do you have the old VIN plate from the dash?

The door tag doesn't have the VIN unfortunately. 

I'm desperately trying to figure this out. I want it bad. 

It sold to a guy that wants to bring it back to the challenge. He picks it up later this week, and has another couple of spirits.
