Not mine - needs head gasket - not worth $15,000 but he is saying it might be worth less. What's a reasonable offer? $3,500?
Is the guy going to laugh and hang up?

Per the wife I'm only allowed one non-running Datsun at a time.

Poor guy.
Has something mint, and knows it is mint. However its also nothing special, and he'll never accept that.
I think $3500 is probably good just for the condition, but he will never accept it.
15k? I want some of what ever it is he's smoking! It's not that rare. Not common either, but that's because they really weren't that great. I'd rather have a b210, and they were pretty crappy
I sent him a text and mentioned it's really a $2,500 car. He agrees it's not a $15,000 car but says it's not a $2,500 car either. It's in great shape but nobody will pay a lot for this type "rare" car.

"I'm not entirely sure what this thing is worth". We see that.
My mom had one of those. From the era of when a passenger side mirror was an option!
Sounds like a candidate for bring a trailer or one of the other auction sites. Not 15K car but there is a little value there to the right person.

To quote the great Rick Harrison "Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it’s valuable."
Honestly I could see it being worth more than we think to the right person. It might even have value to a prop house looking for period correct vehicles for movies. This has the right flavor for a background car. Not many left that look that nice too. I still doubt $15k but $5k? Likely.
