1980 Dodge Aspen, NMNA, no price given

Hey, its a one year car, that makes it rare.

The car itself looks rough as a cob, but the flares, spoilers, window louvers, 4bbl Offy intake, and split header all have quite a bit of value.  

I'm confused... what makes that one a one year car?

The front end sheet metal changed for 1980, and it wasn't sold in the US in '81.   (Though the front end was used in Mexico after that)

Thanks. I remember them from late 70's, and some of the sportier looking packages were pretty cool.
