It's about time I face my current reality and the fact that I just don't have time to work on this awesome little nugget. I'd love to have the garage space back.
This thing has been passed around among a handful of GRM forum members over the years. I have linked my build thread (which has previous build threads linked) to catch you up to where the car is at. I was building this with the intention of taking it to the Challenge and am willing to do separate receipts for the car & massive parts hoard (which includes some really nice stuff (grill, mirrors, trim, lights etc).
Overall the car is en exceptional condition for an 1980. There is a little bit more body work that needs completed. It is missing a windshield (which may be a hard thing to find).
The car is not driveable yet. It needs brake lines, e-brake cable, exhaust completed and hung. CV axles are a big hurdle here. I could not find a way to mix and match CV parts to get the Fiesta axles to mesh with the Focus SVT axles. The easy button would be to have custom axles made but that isn't budget friendly. I welded the CV joint spider to the shaft on the passenger side (I SERIOUSLY doubt that it would hold). I have extra Fiesta CV parts. I have done nothing on the driver side CV yet.
This is located in Central IL and I would be willing to help with delivery within 2-3 hours for cost of a u-haul trailer rental and gas.

I love this thing and would love to see it go to a GRMer who has the time to finish it. I can get more pictures if what is in the build thread is not adequate.
