I've had my Merak for about 13 years now and have fixed it up over time to be very, very, nice. not perfect but close. I decided to get it appraised in order to make sure I had enough insurance coverage and the appraisal came back way higher than I ever expected.....$95,000! yeah, I know, through me for a loop also. Now it's too valuable for me to enjoy!...actually the real truth is after 13 years I want to start on a new project.
I am asking $85,000 OBRO, (or best reasonable offer). The car is also listed on classiccars.com or reply to me for photo's, questions, etc.

Hokey smokes - nice appreciation. It wasn't all that long ago good ones went in the mid 20s.
Wow that looks amazing with the black wheels...and wow did I really miss the boat on buying one when they were cheap!
Yeah, honestly I didn't even realize it that much. Last year I noticed people asking about $40K for what I thought were very iffy ones. I'm still not sure that it is worth what the appraiser said, but on the other hand Bora's were 40K cars 5 years ago, then they went to60, then $80/90K just a year or two ago, Now a good Bora is $200+.
I know a Merak isn't a Bora, but it is about 80% of one.
..plus to get mine to where it is a spent A LOT of $$$'s over the years. had a lot of fun too though.

Appraised value and what you can buy one for are 2 different numbers. This one Sold for $31,500. Yours looks nicer, but 3 times nicer?
There's only one way to find out.
Man, good news for you I guess. This is depressing for the rest of us though.
Ten years ago, heck even five years ago Marak's, 308's, 930 etc. were all affordable semi exotics that most of us could conceivable own one day, now that dreams gone out of the window.

Looking at your car made me realize two things:
Some people's real cars are nicer than my fantasy cars.
Is that a rear bumper of a body colored picknic table?
I jest on the second point because I'm totally jealous!
Jeez, I remember when the Meraks were below 20k and the Bora was under 30k.
Me too. I passed on a Ghibli about two years after I bought the Merak. It was $29K at the time!
Still, although it appraised for that much, the real value is in what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm asking $85 because I have to start somewhere. The thing is they are expensive to fix, not that they are that complicated, (except for the drive train) a lot can be done at home, but they are tight to work on and thus time consuming. Parts are not cheap but most aren't crazy prices either.
I did buy mine cheap but adding everything up over the years that I have done to it, (body, paint, floors gas tanks etc.) It's not like I'm making a killing, then again, I had A LOT of fun and memories along the way. Now it's someone else's turn.
