A project of mine that's moving too slowly and am considering selling. Bone stock. Original paint. Chiffon over brown leather. About 132k on the clock. Top end rebuilt due to broken head studs. About 6k in that alone (w/o labor). Engine needs a bit of assembling (rear main seal, final torquing, double check valve clearance, etc). I have seals and a few other bits for the gearbox (no issues with it, just preventive maintenance). 6 & 7 x 16 fuchs. Essentially a brand new top. Didn't come with fog lamps but have the bits for that. Didn't have a chin spoiler but have the bits for that too. Body has a couple of small bruises (door dings and 1 good size bump on the driver's 1/4 ahead of the wheel. No rust. Will work on pics later. Seeing if there is any interest.
Forgot to add - Severna Park, MD (about 1/2 way between Baltimore and Annapolis) Mark -410-330-1437

Right. This is a very different beast. An all original car. Not for the track but for for street purposes. These are going up in value quickly.

Not sure. Maybe in the 12k range.
Why woody? You interested?
Not for me, but my cousin has been shopping. He doesn't really want a Targa, but he hasn't had any luck finding a good coupe.
OK. I'd be glad to talk. Unless you're tracking it, I don't get the aversion to targas. But then, I'm an open car guy. My 996 is a cab. And I've got 2 bug-eyes, a 124 spyder.......
He had a coupe back in the 70's and wants another. Send some photos and I'll pass them along.
I have to take some. You could leave email address
More info: extra rotors and pads, new clutch, pilot bearing, brake caliper rebuild kits, aircraft heater hoses, new sound deadening pad, new front wheel bearings. As I think of it, I'll add more
Willing to do a part trade for a smaller autobox for the wife. Must be 4 dr or wagon.

I saw your other ads in the 2014 forum were updated...quickly came over to Open forum to see if this ad now had pics. Not yet.
I bump half-heartedly, as I really do not need another car/project, but I feel that if I don't jump on an air-cooled car now (or more like two years ago), I will never own one.
Happy Friday.
Yeah, I know. Its near the top of my to do list today to get pics up, likely by way of craigs. I also want to do a comprehensive list of what was done.
I'm with you on the air-cooled 911 thing. I still have the '76 that I bought in '93. That one's not for sale! But I'm not sure if I want to upgrade it to an SC/Carrera or tack car or long hood or keep it bone stock. Tough call as any nods increase pleasure but reduce value.

Well, feel free to send any pics to my email if you don't feel like putting a craigslist ad up right away. mlodsin at gmail. Give me something to oogle as I work on the other project cars I have.
To add enticement, I pulled the porsche badge to clean the front lid and it's a true 901 badge. For all those in the know, those are getting rediculous money now. On a side note, the paint will need a really good detail along with some repairs.
New they go for 600 plus. Yeah, just for the badge
