Edit: sale is currently pending.

o I picked this thing up locally because I wanted the wheels and the tailgate for another project of mine. However this is a complete truck with 4x4 and manual transmission. The previous owner said the engine was rebuilt a couple thousand miles before they parked it due to rusty brake lines.

The cab itself has little to no significant rust other than the front bumper. The bed is in pretty good shape with a few small rust holes but way better than any Toyota of its era.

The forward section of the frame appears to be in pretty good condition, and has all the factories skid plates still attached. The rear section of the frame is extremely rusty with holes. However I have a rear frame section sitting here right next to it that is not rusty and would only need some spring hangers attached and a crossmember and you could probably just mate it up with the front.

Truck has a title. Basically the only thing I am keeping are the wheels and the tailgate and maybe a couple other small things. So if anybody wants this for scrap value you can come pick it up in the Washington DC area in the next week or two before I take it out to scrap. I definitely think it could be saved and be a pretty cool truck but I am not looking for another project right now.

Do you have wheels to make it a roller you are swapping on?  Or does buyer need to brimg some?

Isn't that the coveted bellhousing to make a RWD 4G63?

Whew...  one of the few times I'm glad it's a 4WD and not a 2WD - otherwise I'd be saying "Berk. Where am I going to put this..."  I have a pipe-dream of building a Locost out of 2WD version of one of these.  Partly out of nostalgia. When these trucks were new back around 1990, I drove one as a parts-runner. How I didn't die driving those trucks is a small miracle. I definitely cashed in a few of my "9 Lives of Driving" chips.  But ever since I've thought the engine/trans would work well in a Locost.  Those trucks would do 90 MPH in 3rd gear - something I verified. Often.

Buyer would have to bring their own. or if you are very local I can probably let you borrow these and then bring them back. At very least we can get it onto your trailer with wheels and then take the wheels off once it's on there.

Lol. I mean there are two-wheel drive mighty maxes all over the place for sale. The 4x4 ones are the ones that are fairly rare especially with a manual

Also forgot to mention that it appears to have all of the factory skid plates under the engine and transfer case,

Really?  Whenever I get bored and do a CL search, none come up.  Granted - the aforementioned "ain't got nowhere to put it and already have way too many projects" means I don't do that search very often.

I mean there seem to be a handful of them right now if I search within 100 miles of my place. granted most of them are not particularly cheap because they're in pretty nice shape
