That's where mine ended up. I gave it back to my dad hoping he could narrow it down. He got it to drive significantly better, but there's still something not right. It will however drive as far as you need it to. Maintenance has been done properly since he's owned it at 50k.

I took to MazCare in Atlanta, and they started with compression checks, checking the timing belt, etc. (Things that I mentioned that were checked.) After a few hundred dollars of redundant tests and checking the obvious, I had to take it home. They never got into testing vacuum leaks, egr, etc. Compression check was 160 across the board, which is close to what they came new.

Price is OBO, especially for GRM.

Nice looking car. Any idea what fuel mileage it gets?

31 was the last one I remember with just highway driving. That was going 70 and driving as conservative as I could. I dont really remember what I got overall.

High 20s combined is about what a stock car does. They'll peak over 30mpg on the highway.

From there, it seems the more power you make, the better the gas mileage. A bigger turbo helps gas mileage tremendously.

Sorry to hijack but I have a question for the MX-6 gurus. Other than the t-bird hybrid are there any other bolt-onish (not opposed to welding on a new exhaust manifold flange and downpipe) turbos that let you keep the A/C?

It's really more about the downpipe. A small-ish T3 should easily clear. That all said, there were bolt on upgrades made by JGS Tools and Thomas Knight. I had one of the TKT setups awhile back, then sold it. It went back up for sale by the guy who bought it from me a couple months ago. Believe it's Garret T3 50trim guts with a T4S wheel in that case. Nice 300whp turbo.
