My son went to college in Holland, Michigan.   I love that town.

A bit high in price but after a few years you'll tell yourself you got a great deal.

Not as high as you'd think. Clean NAs have appreciated a lot. We're looking to pick one up for our development fleet and that price is not out of line from what we're seeing.

If that was in SoCal I could flip that and make money at that price.

I sold a 17K original mile example for almost 17K last year. Those miles are nothing if its clean underneath.

I have done better, but its not totally out of the realm of a nice clean miata. Unless you really need to enjoy the last bit of summer I would recommend waiting til the colder months, miata's always come down a little when they are taking up a whole spot in the garage and not being used.

Seems reasonable?

A couple years ago, I saw a '90 that was all Bondo below the rocker line, torn top, and the floor was held together with a butterfly brace sell for $8500.

At $8700 I would be seriously, seriously tempted, if it's as clean as it looks.

I'll gladly drive this out west and fly back.  I go to Holland for work 2-4 times a month if someone wants eyes on it.  The seller can probably provide underside pictures.

A lot of money for one from that part of the world. Japanese metal from that era was rusting on the way from Japan. Just my 2c

In reply to Docwemple :

True, daily driven cars do not last long around here.  However the ones that are stored inside and only used in the summer are some of the best to get, notice the lack of UV damage.

That's the thing about Miatas, they are often secondary cars. A relatively low mileage one in Michigan has probably never seen snow. Heck, I have a nice 1990 from Ontario Canada that is in great shape and even has the original top on it.

My son bought his NC in Seattle about 5 years ago. It had only 29K miles on it and was a 2006 Special edition, so every option. He drove it for about 100k miles and it was totaled over the holidays. He paid 12K for it and was given 13K by the insurance company. So basically he got to drive the car for free for 5 years. Got to love cars that are post depreciation and are going up in value.

A Miata in Seattle does not get driven much if it is your "sunny day, weekend car", so the original owner miles were low. Agree that these low mileage examples are out there and are priced accordingly. This NA sounds like it is priced under market, so a good deal for someone.
