I have decided to list my 1990 Volvo 245 for sale. I would like to put effort and money into the Challenge P1800 and my other projects.

I bought this off of TurboBricks about a year ago and have repaired several things and gotten it to solid Daily status. I ended up using it as a daily for a few months while my Truck was in the body shop.

Good:

Everything works minus the heated seats and cruise. (Even the AC!)

179k miles

T5 transmission swap

Very solid I would call it Midwest clean

New front control arm bushings

New in tank fuel pump and sending unit

Newer Tires

I would drive this thing anywhere!

Bad:

Car has been repainted and is starting to get some clearcoat peel.

Two of the door moldings are off (I have them)

Drivers seat cushion cover is split slightly

Minor surface rust leading edge of rear wheel wells

T5 is a little crunchy in 3-5 gears (comes and goes not bad enough that you can't drive around it once you learn the behavior)

Overall very solid car you can enjoy as is and tinker with as you like.

$5000 South Central Indiana

Might partial trade for Volvo parts, Miata turbo stuff, and maybe LS stuff.

I LOVE THIS and I need a kid car.  GLWS, sent it to a buddy who I talked volvos about at lunch today.

Does it have factory a/c and does it work?

Do we think the t5 needs adjustment or repair?

In reply to grover :

Yes factory ac! It works!

I think it just needs better fluid and/or adjustment. It was much worse when I bought it with the stock mustang shifter. I added a b&m short throw and it almost cured it. It usually only does it down shifting from 5th to 4th but if you put it in 3rd and back to 4th before you let out the clutch it doesn’t grid.
