I initially posted this on CL and linked it here, but I decided to take down the CL ad. I'm trying to be honest about the car and disclose the small oil leak it has right now and within minutes the vultures were trying to circle. Sigh....never mind. Much more understanding group here. The car is at the shop right now having the small leak looked at...it really is small. If anyone here wants the car we can discuss if/when/how it is fixed and the price. Summary of the car.
'91 5spd, in outstanding condition inside and out for 31 years old. Body is straight and rust free, rust free underneath too beyond surface rust on fasteners, etc... Interior is very clean for an NA....center bezel not broken, dash not cracked, a/c works, windows work, etc.... Decent aftermarket stereo. Seats not ripped. Runs and drives fantastic. Clutch is solid, shift action as it should be, steering is good, brakes good, etc... The car has 142k miles. Tires are good. Top is in great condition.
Known negatives. Small oil leak as I mentioned. Just a few drops at night, but I want to know why. One sun visor needs repair/replace. Pin stripe has seen better days. The top works perfect but may need a little adjusting...when putting it back up you just need to give it a little help to make sure the latches catch on the roof. Roof closes perfectly fine, just need to use two hands.
I'm going to ask $8100 on CL, but am of course willing to work with a GRM to make it fit their budget the best I can. I've got a bunch of pictures, here are just a few. Let me know if you want more or have questions. I'll put it back on CL once I know the oil leak cause.

Yes, it is a proper 3 pedal car.
Could the roof latch issue just be the latches? They get tired on NA. Not that you need to fix it pre-sale, thinking out loud.
My Mom's '91 has a slight oil leak too. We did all the top seals but I'm pretty sure it's coming from the oil pan which requires pulling the engine to do properly. Hope your leak is something simple. GLWS!
Most likely place for an oil leak is the o-ring on the CAS. It runs down the back of the engine and drips out the bottom of the bellhousing, doing an excellent imitation of a rear main seal. Very easy to fix, unlike a rear main seal :)
If it's leaking at the front of the engine, most likely culprit is the front crank seal. Fixing requires removing the timing belt which is why that seal should be replaced with the belt - it lasts a little longer than a belt, but not twice as long.
Oil pan gaskets almost never leak unless disturbed.
A tight roof might just need some adjustment, or even just some time in the sun with the top up if it's a new top. There are some easily accessible adjustments on the top latches, the other adjustments are behind the interior side panels which is about a 3 minute job to remove.
So when you buy my MR2, I'm bringing this home?

If that's what you want, we can make it happen.
Joint enabling showdown!!!

Kinda sorta. I'm clearing out my fleet with the anticipation of possibly buying his MR2 after the Challenge. TBD....
Bringing this back up, I now have the car back from the shop. The oil leak appears to have simply been from the drain plug. I'm driving the car around more to make sure there are no other leaks, but so far so good. Looking to thin my herd fairly quickly, just too many cars to juggle right now. Here's a much better picture of it all cleaned up. I've got a bunch more and can/will post them shortly.

Here's a link to the CL I put up. https://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/d/dallas-1991-mazda-miata-5spd-excellent/7527736100.html
I brought it back to the shop to get it on the lift and found that there is a slow drip from the timing cover area. I don't really want to invest to do the timing kit, so I dropped the price significantly. For a GRMer I'll make a killer deal. I'd like to just get this car moved on, it pains me to have it around knowing I'm not keeping it, because I love it so much.
Watch this then you'll be contacting Klayfish for more details on the car.
Good gosh, if this gets juicier I will trade the MR2 for it with both sets of wheels, all the parts I have (including some not installed), and come up with whatever it takes to make up the difference. I can drop the MR2 at your house and pick this up. Seriously. Send me a text or e-mail about that. I'd keep this stock, stock, stock and just drive it around with kiddo on really nice days. She keeps chewing my butt about sellling all my convertibles. I can put this on car skates and keep it in the garage with a golf cart (wife's dream).
Will do Anthony. jimbob_racing has first dibs, and I'll let you know from there.
Car is still available, jimbob passed.
Can't believe nobody has jumped on this. Clean NAs are only getting harder to find.

Deets on the MR2? location?

Klayfish has 100% right off refusal. That's our stated deal from months ago. If it's for sale in November, I will let you know. Right now it's looking more like Klayfish and I may be trading plus or minus some stuff or something.

Not sure how that video relates.
