EDIT: decided to keep for now please disregard this thread.
I got this a few months ago. In typical GRM fashion I found something else I want more and have put a deposit on it.
Findlay Ohio $1,500
1993 Volvo 960 wagon
286k+ miles (I need to double check mileage)
Body is rust free and in very good shape.
The hood has some sun damage.
interior is still in good shape as well
I was told tires are relatively new
Rear wheel drive
Automatic
Known issues:
will not start previous owner drove this to meet me but it wouldn't start back up for me to test drive it. I have not gotten it started since I purchased it.
Shifter gets stuck in park
Catylitic Converter is gone
Leaks oil
coolant leak inside the timing belt cover area
One side of the driver seat is stuck if you try to move it forward or backwards.
Full disclosure it was raining last night when I took these pictures, I can try to take some more when the car is dry if you want to see the sun damage on he hood better
That ticks a lot of wants for me. With current lifestyle, the AT is a good thing as well.
Being where the car is, glad to here the no rust on body, part. How about the underbody.
Had a 95 850 wagon for a bit, and have wanted a 960 ever since!
Swedish 1.75JZ longitudinal White Block goodness.
"This would decimate all with $10k in overnight parts from Ikea.."
Very cool car.

Underneath is clean as well.

Thanks
The 5 cyl t5 turbo motors bolt up but you have to use a cut up 6 cyl oil pan to do that. Manual trans (m90 I think) is available if you have any friends in Europe
Well this is certainly tempting.
In reply to Jordan Rimpela :
I was just getting ready to drop the asking price a bit for GRM people. So if you are interested let me know.
Also open to offers or trades for things that are not cars. LS type v8 engines, turbo kits, tool chest etc.
Being RWD, these are popular V8 swap cars. I remember seeing a twin-turbo LS swapped one at Carlisle years ago. Wish I had the time and space for this.
Do you know if it has compression? Can you turn it over on video or video messenger some how? My concern is timing belt
If I were closer, I might could talk the "financial manager" on board for an offer. But she remembers the 850 wagon having more issues than I remember, and the cost, so she's leary.
Only trade material is the Astro AWD parts, so I come up to short, I imagine!
In reply to Justjim75 :
Here is a partial pic of timing belt, and a sticker that looks like it was changed about 50k miles or so ago.
I have not done a compression test.
This is a long video of it cranking. I was trying to move the shifter around while I was cranking to see if it was a neutral safety switch, but I didn't have enough hands to hold my phone, the key, and move the shifter at the same time.

They even have mounts if you don't want to make your own

Looks like there is some extra value to the clear taillights/light housings. So if you want it even cheaper with out the taillights I can do that and sell the lights separately.
In reply to 03Panther :
Ha ha. Yeah I think I will pass on the Astro parts trade.

The other thread had me hopefull, but a few posts in quashed that! Besides, I already sold the LT 1/t56 I'd of loved to drop in it. But I'm sure that in-line will still run fine.
