Edit (3-29-2022) , looking for sale now, not a trade
I bought this Jaaag from Robbie last March, and he got it from forum member Lugnut. It'd be cool if it stays in the GRM family, if not it'll go onto Craigslist. My wife is daily driving it now, so mileage will continue to go up.
Brand new Starter and Battery last month.
- 144,799 miles (as of 3-19-2022, daily driven)
- Tan leather interior
- Rust spot on boot lid (only rust on the body)
- Clear coat is aged on the roof and a small spot by the gas fill door (see pics)
- Rear driver side exterior door handle occasionally doesn’t work (always opens from inside)
- Driver’s power adjust buttons are dislodged from the seat (see pic)
- Rust on the bottom side of the car, it lived in Chicago before I got it (see pics)
- Seam in passenger seat is coming undone
- Check engine light comes on ( my code reader doesn’t work on the Jag, but Robbie said it’s an O2 sensor code)
- Center third brake light mount has come un-glued from the rear glass.
Edit: I bought a Prius for Indy-kid, so cash is king
I’d like to do a trade for a car that has these requirements:
- Four door (seat belts for five passengers)
- Gets good mileage (30’s or upper 20’s)
- Has front airbags
- Not a major project, but some minor work needed is ok
A Prius would be perfect. I have a bit of cash that I can add for the right trade.
Post here and PM for responses to questions.
Interior pictures incoming?
I've never seen one with rust before

I was hoping to detail it a little before posting those, but I can get some later tonight.
Do you know which version timing chain tensioners are in it?
In reply to fatallightning :
They were updated to the new metal style when Lugnut owned it.

Have you ever lived in Chicago ? Or the rust belt in general? The body looks pretty good. I've done my best to take pictures of all the worst areas, so nobody gets surprised when they come to drive it home.

No rush, I was just curious.

Grew up in VA. I can't say I've ever seen one in VA either.
I don't suppose it's new enough to have the latch attachments in the rear seat for kid seats...
In reply to BlueInGreen - Jon :
Most of these cars didn't have them but some did, rare. You can do a retrofit using part number hnf2100aa.
I drove my son around in the backseat with a kid-seat no problem.
My wife drives our four month old around in it, secured in the center position. We've just been using the seatbelt strap, but Yupididit has a better solution.
My 07 Mazda 6 is a nice commuter but infinitely less interesting.
...I may send you a pm later.

I'm looking for something that is slower so my 15 year old daughter can learn on and then drive around when she gets her license. Boring is better in this situation.
Here's a link to the for sale ad when Lugnut sold it to Robbie.
