1999 Porsche Boxster, 2.5L manual 5-speed - $3,800
One of two that I am selling. The other is not listed yet; still having work done and has the 'Tiptronic' transmission.
Under 92,000 miles
Rebuilt Title: Collision in 2015 damaged front bumper and airbags deployed. I replaced the bumper and airbags, but the airbag light will not reset. (Module? Seatbelts?)
It drives straight and handles great, but I never took it to a collision shop to have everything properly straightened. The hood does not quite line up correctly.
Hard top is NOT included. It could use new tires.
Pics from when I bought it damaged in 2015:

I'm flexible on price depending on how you want it equipped. Want it cheap for the track? I can keep the Litronic headlights, seats, swap the doors for faded ones, keep the convertible top with the glass window, swap the 17" Sport Classic wheels for some junk 18" knock-offs, and keep the spare tire.
You could drive away with a junk seat, damaged top, and ugly headlights for as low as $2,200. The engine and transmission alone are worth more than that to me, so it would have to be quick and painless or I'll get grumpy and change my mind
Want it nice, but with a few flaws? $3,800.
Located in Northeast Oklahoma.

Screaming deal! Good thing I'm nowhere near Oklahoma or I'd have some serious explaining to do with my SO.
That's a heck of a deal for someone who wants to become a first-time Porsche owner.
Holy crap. I just had a thread about "what's my next cheap track car given that I have the torso of a 6'5'' guy" and a couple of people were really pushing for a 2.5 Boxster.
Do you think I'll fit in it? And how the heck can I get it from you to where I am (DC) without transport costing more than the car? Edit: and get it to pass DC inspection with the airbag light on!

6'5 would probably be okay with a GT3 console delete: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/75-BODY-GT3_Console_Delete/75-BODY-GT3_Console_Delete.htm

It's pretty far to buy a car. It should do the drive okay though: BWI to XNA or TUL, then generally I-40 to I-81? I bought a car unseen in Atlanta and had a shipping broker get it delivered for ~$700.

The airbag issue is fixable, but could be a a variety of issues. No requirement here in Oklahoma, so it wasn't worth the trouble to sort out. I can scan and list the codes that come up on my Autel MD802 if you want to look into it. I think it shows both seatbelts and a side airbag issue. Could be related to the accident or could be bad grounds. I started on it once and didn't get anywhere. I *may* be able to find a box with a complete set of parts for the system, but I have read that the control module needs to be coded to the VIN if it is swapped. Here's some info leading down the airbag rabbit hole: https://www.renntech.org/topic/43895-airbag-light/ and there's plenty more to be found across the Porsche forums: Rennlist.com, Renntech.org, 986Forum.com, Planet9....
Still, it's money or time and there is probably a similar priced deal locally if you consider the cost getting it home.

That red interior is flaming hot sex.

Thank you for the detailed reply! I think you are correct - the added cost of getting it home and dealing with the airbag issue makes it not worth it, unfortunately...
In reply to Dave M (Forum Supporter) :
My SE-R went through with the airbags blown and crudely cut away.
Emissions only in DC.
I'm texting with the pending buyer right now....
Fwiw, AAZD is a square shooter and the kind of guy that is a pleasure to deal with.
I got a Boxster! Can't wait to pick it up Jon!
White_fly/Patrick, I'm glad it's going to a good home. Thanks for making it easy.

I'm still completely in love with the Jag. It's got a fresh battery and a clean interior and will be driven.
