Wait a second, a fwd ute should be ideal for rallycross unless the ecu cuts the throttle when the brakes are applied. You just need to left foot brake it more!

It wouldn't be legal. You are not allowed to modify the roof structure unless a roll cage of a certain minimum spec is installed.
Whether it is a good idea from a performance standpoint is both debatable, yet moot.

Umm, he is rallycrossing it now somewhere. The SCCA rule book is not for everyone.
