link Saw this today on CL. NMNA. Lots of miles and rust. I'm guessing he's driven in saltwater since the ad says he takes it out on the beach every weekend. I know people like to look at ZAVs, so here it is.

I would hate to have to remove that spare tire

I guess you could tow around a miniature trebuchet to heft the flat one back up on the roof once you've taken it off.

So much potential, but so much rust... that would be a lot of work to fix right.

Damn that's a lot of rust... but having looked for one of these (extended van + extra-high roof + diesel) for a long time (4x4 conversion is just a bonus), I know how much similar vans in better condition typically sell for on the rare occasion they come up for sale.

Why all the rust comments? The body is about 98% there. Heck you could do one panel at a time. Soda blast the bottom, then have at it. Look at Expeditions. These may follow the same path.

In reply to markwemple:

Well, for me in SE PA, a truck with that much rust won't pass inspection, so I would have to fix all of it before the truck could be legal. And that's just the rust we can see in these pictures. There is likely much more.
