How bad could it be?  Dirty oil?  New oil filter?  new sensor? Jumped timing chain?  sloppy timing chain guide?  New oil-water separator?

 

I am tempted to take a risk as it is the S model. But, how deep is the rabbit hole on small town mid-west Porsches that probably haven't been serviced correctly?

With 181k on it, there's a good chance that the variocam pads on that side are worn. That's a fairly major service. That said, it's a decent price and the car looks OK otherwise. If it still runs well, I might be willing to take the chance.
