I forgot these were a thing.

Yeah, I was looking at them when I bought the Sonata.  Supposedly it's easy to crank up the 2.5... but I think I saw a bunch of people talking about another reliability issue with that motor in another thread?

Badges on the decklid and description seem to indicate that this is a 3.5 car. Which is strange because it doesn't appear to be the full SE-R Altima which was a thing, but it's a standard V6 Altima with 3 pedals. If there's any reliability issues with them I wouldn't known.

Woops, didn't follow along to the listing.  I think the Altima SE-R came later in that gen's run for a couple years, and added 6spds, an LSD, and more power.  But, I think it's all the same VQ35 as in a bunch of other places... so should be pretty bulletproof.  Might be an interesting Gastropod, depending on condition?

The engine in this particular car is “making noise”, so I’m not too sure how bullet proof this one is.  We had a Maxima with this engine that was pretty reliable.  I had to change the water pump and starter.  Not terribly difficult, but time consuming.
