Hey everyone, come buy this and turn it into a challenge car with plenty of recoup! Or drive it until the wheels fall off, which won't come soon. I don't care, I just need it out of my garage. It's listed on marketplace and Craig's for $3500, but a grm'er takes it for 2500$ and I'll throw in a pair of low profile crossbars for it.

Good running, no-frills commuter car. It’s nothing to look at, but has never let me down or disappointed me.
The good:
- brand new Bilstein HD struts
-completely rust free except for a couple tiny hood chips
- all bushings replaced with polyurethane 5k ago, including diff, subrame, suspension and sway bar bushings
- x3 front seats that work perfectly with the electronics/heated seats
- new brakes and rotors 5k ago
- coolant system overhaul at 160k
- everything works, including Bluetooth capable stereo
- new headlight covers
The bad:
- passenger side mirror was broken off and will need replaced
- clear coat is peeling and paint is faded
- random dings/debts/rock chips
- tires are old and should be replaced soon-ish (I had another wheel set that I sold separately). It could also use an alignment at the same time.
Will consider partial trades for a professional grade tool chest.

I know there are ways to handle this, but Challenge cars purchase price can't exceed $2000
well, it's not technically in the Challenge section. I just mentioned it as a possible option is all. Didn't mean to mislead or misrepresent.
Man that's pretty. I sure wish I could.
Besides .5l what's the difference between the 325 and 330 engine? Bore, stroke, etc?
Do you know what the rear diff is?

Same bore, different stroke as the block & head casting are the same (IRRC). I believe the heads use different cams and potentially valves as well.
Rear diff on 325 autos should be a 3.46.

How long have you owned this car?
Any history of body damage or paint work?
First off, this is pending to a fellow GRM'er who's name I do not know...? haha.
But secondly, I've only owned the car for a year, but bought from my best friend, who has owned it for a few years and is also a GRM'er. I'm not positive on body damage, but the paint overall is in poor enough quality that I'd have to think it's never been resprayed anywhere, haha. In all honesty, it's a $2500 car, so it's gonna have its quirks. But its a solid, reliable runner that deserves to be driven and not parted for sure.

Too many wagons?
Thanks to you, yes. Haha.
I need to reclaim the garage spot for my wife before she buries me in the backyard.

I just pulled a 3.0 and swapped it for a 2.5 in my X5. The only difference was the stroke. I went from an iX to an X5 so had to change the oil pan and valve cover due to the different coils used. Externally they were the same, even shared most accessories. Other than that it fired right up.
Man I wish this was closer. How much do you think it would cost to ship it down to east Tennessee?

Last time I checked it was about $6-700. I got a quote foran Atlanta-Boston trip for an M3 I was looking at back in October.
Still waiting for the buyer to pick up. It has a deposit on it, but if it's not grabbed by next week, I'm going ro refund him and make it available again.
I did not. It's up for grabs officially again.
Anyone wanna get this out of my garage...? Please?
nope, sold a few weeks ago for a significant discount... but at least I have my garage back?
