For the sprocketisti amongst us:
Very clean 2004 Harley Road King Classic, 27.7k miles, local bike. I'm the second owner. Clean and clear title in hand. Just fitted Progressive 944 rear shocks and the Progressive touring link. Very recent rear tire, less than 500 miles on it. Super comfy Saddlemen seat. Full Screaming Eagle Stage 1 kit with K&N air filter. Comes with heavy and light bike covers, rider's back rest, OEM workshop manual, oil filter removal tool, big touring bag/pack.
Reason for sale - must buy race car
, plus I'm not in love with it. I'm more of a BMW person and actually put more miles on my BMW and my ZRX1200 last year than this bike, despite spending the most money on it. Got too many garage ornaments already. Bike is in Carson City, NV, about 1/2h from Reno International Airport.
$11k, happy to pick you up from the airport if you fancy a fly & ride.

Well, after some local comparison I dropped the price to $10.5k and will knock off 500 bucks off of that for a GRMer.
And apart from the usual "services" robocalling, no nibbles at all.
Any comments? Price still too high? Wrong time of year to sell a bike? Stick it on ebay and see what happens?

Not to knock the sale, because I love the bike, but everyone is looking at 09+ bikes due to the updates for not a lot more money, or buying at dealerships that offer financing on bikes where they can have minimal rideoffs.
Color is a little different as well.
Well, I was asking for advice
.
I suspected my price was a too high so I guess the only way to get rid of it would be on price? Wouldn't be the first time I lost some money on a bike but on this one we'd probably be talking dollar per mile. Mind you, it's no good sitting the garage either.

Its not really price its financing that gets you on used bikes. Not everybody can come up with 10K cash for a bike, but almost anybody can walk into a dealer and pay what amounts to 15$/1K + interest with even little to no credit. Those that can have the cash typically are buying new.
I actually sent the link to a few friends locally who are looking.
Also there was a huge load of CHP and there ilk bikes sold on eBay in the last couple months which has the market flooded on 09+ bike in black or white.
Personally I think the bike is worth what your asking due to the condition and miles.
Last second bump, ebay auction is going to end in a bit more than half an hour!
Crud, didn't sell, despite me lowering the reserve twice. Guess I better figure out what else to do with it.
OK, price drop - first $7999 gets it. If you have a BMW RT or GS, I might be interested in a trade, similar if you have an oddball European or classic Japanese bike - for example, a Guzzi, a Suzuki RE5, a GL1000 or something like that, although depending on the value of the trade I may want some cash on top.
