CAR is SOLD.
I have a 2004 Mazda Speed Miata that I am going to sell. (phone at bottom of post)
- Bad points first:
- Probable blown head gasket - due to overheating.
- Fans don't work. (my bad for not realizing this was happening) -
- Probably needs the whole engine "refreshed".
- Rebuild the turbo while you are at it. (this is the cheapest thing on the list)
- Good Points
- Never wrecked.
- All original (except a past owner lost the Masdaspeed Oil inlet cap and replaced it with a standard black one)
- Top is new and was professionally installed. Its been garaged continuously.
- Brand new Good-Win Racing oversize radiator
- Stoptec brake pads all around - with less than 1000 miles on them
- Interior is not ripped up but its from 2004.
- I have a few extra parts to throw in like a set of stainless brake lines, extra steering wheel, original gas cap (P.O. replaced it with a chrome one.) I also have the idler pulley and parts to delete the power steering pump (but not a manual rack)
- Recently had the original starter rebuilt.
- Paint is in good shape. Previous owner had the hood re-sprayed with the correct Velocity Red paint (expensive stuff because it has gold flakes in it)
It needs to be taken away on a trailer or flatbed. It starts but you cannot really drive it.
I am unfortunately too old and arthritic to fix this myself and the local guy I planned to use decided there was more money in converting NC's to 2.5 liter engines than doing engine rebuilds in NA and NB models.
- I'm thinking $4000.
- PM me if interested.
- Car is in Houston, Texas.
