I am selling my 2006 Audi A6 Avant (Audi for "wagon") Quattro AWD.  185k, quintessential boring Audi colors: silver over silver.  This was my commute and go-places-for-work car, but I have not used it much since 2020 and it needs a good home.  Great highway cruiser.  GRM price  $3500.

Located in Conestoga, south of Lancaster PA.

Features:

  • 6-speed auto transmission
  • 3.2 255hp V6
  • Only two owners, dealer and then (since about 130k) Indy maintained (Swedish Motors in Marietta PA), full synthetic oil changes every 5k miles by both owners
  • Everything works, no rust or mechanical issues that I am aware of
  • DVD-based GPS navigation
  • PA state inspection through April 2023
  • Cold weather package, including heated rear seats and ski sack
  • Audi "all weather" ribbed rubber floor mats installed, original carpet mats included

Cons:

  • Several minor cosmetic issues in paint and interior, appropriate to the age and mileage
  • It has a full-size spare wheel but currently no spare tire because I got a flat and have not found a replacement tire yet
  • It suffered a minor hit on the RF fender while parked last fall.  The other driver's insurance paid for a replacement (used OEM) fender and new bumper cover, done by the Audi dealer's body shop.

This looks like a really nice car and a very good deal.

Do you have any idea if the chains have been done?

Would make a great car for Frenchy's granddaughter. Can probably get her through two years of school and get her money back afterwards.

Neither timing chains nor tensioners have been touched.  There are no noises (that I notice) at startup, which is the indication I have read about for that issue.

The car has required very little in the way of non-maintenance repair.   The couple repairs it needed were pricey, but I think I spent less total on this than the 2007 Grand Caravan we also owned.  Of course the oil changes cost 3x the ones on the Caravan...
