Here is a link to my ad, and I will try and get the pics up on here soon. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/5714643876.html

Briefly, it is a 2wd, problem-free immaculate truck. The ONLY reason we are selling is because we decided it was time for a minivan.
This doesn't have all of the bells and whistles which was important to me from a reliability standpoint. It does have some additionals like a roof rack, removable third-row seats, backup camera, running boards and cargo liner.
I will give a nice grm discount.

Here is the ad text: We are the second owner of this Tahoe, purchased from a sweet couple who sparingly used it. It was immaculate when we got it and it is immaculate now. It doesn't have many miles (64,500) which is just a touch over 8,000/year, and looks like it has a fraction of this.

The quick and dirty: Seats 9 (folding front center console and removable third row seats) Well-maintained with synthetic oil Needs nothing Looks like new

I have never liked cars with all the bells and whistles because it means more things to break and cost $$$. So I was very happy when we found this Chevy in such good shape. It has the 4.8L V8 motor which isn't the biggest but I believe is the wisest choice for 98% of those who might be looking. It obviously is down a little on power over the larger motors, but not by much and the benefits you get more than outweigh this downside unless you are towing. It gets better gas mileage (I could get into the 20's on freeway trips) than the bigger motors without the problems that they have. The larger motors have a cylinder deactivation system (AFM) that works great at getting better mileage - until it doesn't. They are well-known for having major problems necessitating a motor teardown and rebuild. Needless to say, any money you had saved in gas and then some goes into fixing these motors. Just look up Chevrolet Cylinder Deactivation Problems and see for yourself. My inlaws have an 07 with this and they just started hearing the dreaded knocking.

So you can rest assured that this Tahoe will get you there and back without some complicated and expensive system letting go.

The seats are cloth, which clean up quickly and easily. Not as much as leather, but I personally find cloth to be much more comfortable. Ever sit on a leather seat when it's been in the sun for an hour? You can easily seat 9 adults with the folding center console and the removable 3rd row seats. Easy to fold the middle seats to access the back.

The only damages that have happened are 3 cosmetic ones: The previous owner rubbed his other car against the back of the bumper. It is not something you'd likely notice unless pointed out. The previous owner also got a parking lot ding over the left rear wheel. Even less noticable. Nearly impossible to photograph. Shortly after we got it, a man hit a shopping cart over the OTHER rear wheel (why couldn't it have been the same side as the other one???) and gave us a matching ding. Also very unnoticable. He gave us his info and we went through insurance. My wife decided that it wasn't worth losing the vehicle for a week, and we just decided to live with it.

Oil changes have been done on time and with synthetic oil. We had planned on keeping this for a long long time so I was fine making the extra investment into its longevity. It is time for its next oil change. We did have some of the tire pressure sensors (TPS) go out which is very common on Chevy's and we replaced them with oem units.

It has a rubber cargo liner that I modified to fit under the third row seating mounts so you can install the seats without removing the liner. It also has a roof rack which I only used once but is very convenient and easy to use. A tow receiver is also there but I only used it one time to move a trailer about 50'. It is heavy duty and is factory wired. Adding to convenience are the running boards. This will never be a rock crawler, so the running boards are acceptable and actually make it easy to get in and out of, especially for the shorter folks.

Additionally, I installed a reverse / backup camera to help with parking in the tighter spaces.

This is an amazing vehicle and I priced it according to Kelly Blue Book. Yes, it is probably a bit more expensive than others you are looking at but if you have actually looked at some of the others in person, and then look at this one, you will see the difference. I have learned the hard way that you can pay up front or pay on the back, and paying later is usually more expensive and always more frustrating.

It has tinted windows, power locks, power windows, cruise control, traction control (Stabilitrak), abs, Power front seat, PS, tilt steering wheel, CD, Front and Rear AC that blows cold, 4.8L V8 4-speed with overdrive, 2wd, airbags.

Title is clean, clear and in-hand. Is this the cheapest Tahoe out there? Nope. Is it the nicest? Quite possibly. It is definitely the best value.
