I might be buying this tomorrow. My goal is to be able to sell it, sorted for $3k. It may change hands to a GRMer cheaper if you do the sorting rather than me. More details on that once it's in my hands and further analyzed.

Cat is gone but it's been straight piped. My $3k estimate includes a cheapo cat but if annual smog testing is a big deal where you live you might want to spend more there.

Other than missing cat, some other flaws are...
Whiskey bump in front bumper. Hot water should help with reshaping but it will never be perfect plastic. Cosmetic flaw, but functionally fine.
Portion of passenger rear quarter is different shade/color than the door. My suspicion is minor body work to quarter years ago that has faded/aged at a different rate.
Drivers side rear door has dent inside that body line.
So other than the cat being gone, some cosmetics, and tires, anything else wrong?
Does the straight pipe affect how they drive and mpg's?
Another Prius I'm looking at is cheap but the owner lost the key and doesn't want to pay the dealer 1k for a new one.
Tires are a matching set of Primewells. Cheap tires to begin with and all tires are flat from sitting. It was raining hard and muddy so to save time, I really didn't look at the tires. Rather I just assumed the worst.
Westlake are $53 from Walmart so call it $300/4, mounted. For $100 more you could have better tire and for $100 still more, even better tires.
Due to 4 flats, have not driven but it starts with a jump.
$1k key!!! I've never lost a Prius key.
I've been blessed with retaining all factory cats. I really don't know what aftermarket cat will mean to drivability.

The car is at a JY twenty minutes from me but this yard sells some cars out front too. As I was told at the yard...
A father owns the car for years and racks up miles. Recently handed the car down to daughter. While at Cleveland State University the cat was stolen. Father sends car to local import shop (not dealer) who tells the father $3k to replace cat. Import shop contacts JY who buys it, but not as salvage title, just a straight buy of broken car. The JY is the one who straight pipes it and drives it some on dealer plates. But, smog test required in his county of Ohio. Smog test not required in my county of Ohio!

How does one steal the cat from such a low vehicle? I thought trucks and suvs were targeted because you can roll roll inder there and get it. Are people taking the time to jack a car up?

I looked at the car, in the rain, Saturday afternoon. I ran some history and played some numbers deciding Sunday that I'll go through with it.
Monday morning I call the place saying, yes, I'd like to come get it. The guy holds me off to, "how about 3 or 4pm?" Not really good for me but...okay.
But, due to the lack of his confidence when he said, "3 or 4pm" I then called him nearing 3pm to make sure his schedule is still the same. Now he's saying, "how about tomorrow...3 or 4 pm." We'll see how that goes.
That's the way the used car market goes sometimes, both when you're trying to buy and sell.
How it is with this Mercedes I'm trying to buy. Dude moved from morning to 5pm. Now saying he'll be too busy for the next few days.
Yesterday about 4:00 turned out to not work with my schedule and I contacted the seller in advance. Today at Noon should be the pickup-adventure.

I got the battery charger going and crawled under some.
