I have this bike listed on a few motorcycle sites but figured I would post it here as well. I always thought this bike would make an awesome pit / support bike in addition to it being a fun motorcycle. Something you could have with you at a track and be able to leave to make a food / beer / parts run since it's street legal.

Anyways here's some good background info on them.

It's been a great year (nearly, I took delivery on Sept. 25th 2013) but it time to part ways with the Grom. When I bought the Grom I also had a KLX250 dual sport, which got the cold shoulder once I got the Grom. After some non use I sold it. Only to now really miss one big thing about it. Blasting up and down dirt roads, one thing that the Grom just doesn't like to do.

Backstory out of the way, on to some details. It has the Composimo TidyTail installed (stock parts included), H2C rear rack, also uninstalled I have the Composimo throttle body clocking flange. It has about 3500 miles on it now and I've full AMSOIL Motorcycle full synthetic in it since the first change.

I still owe some on it to Honda financial so there will be a slight delay, yadda yadda in getting the title to you once payment comes in.

PRICE! - I've looked at other listings and between mileage, location, and mods prices seem to vary a bit. So let's start it out at $3000 and go from there.

This picture is the exact reason I'm getting rid of the Grom, I used to bomb up this road on a dual sport, on the Grom putting along in second gear at best.

I spent quite a but of time on a friend's Grom. What a fun little bike! My kids loved riding around the neighborhood on it.

Guerdat Road, Torrington. Nearby to Old Waterbury Turnpike. Two fun short dirt roads.

You can't just throw some different tires on it for more fun?

Yes and no. There are more dual sport oriented tires and even knobbies (available in the UK) but it's only a 12" wheel and the front suspension is too soft and not enough travel for off road.

Imagine going 30 mph down a dirt road and hitting a 6" tall rock or rut. That's nearly half the wheel/tire together and the little Grom only has 3.9" of front travel before it bottoms out. Then what happens?

Compared to the KLX250SF I used to have, 17" wheel (supermoto, not even a 21" like most dual sports have) with 9.1" inches of travel for the front suspension.

So it could be made "more fun" for dirt roads but not as much fun as I want to zip down dirt roads.

It is a great bike for PAVED surfaces.
