So needs a windshield (and some lexan in the other windows)? How old is the seat? Any reason to think the cage wouldn't still pass tech? Any idea when it last raced?

Windshield is probaly a good idea, but not 100% on if its necessary. Lemons allows cracks as long as they do not obstruct drivers view ( I think... maybe). Anyway, yes to the lexan if you want any sort of aero. Not sure how old the seat is, and I am not sure its compliant anyway. We had assumed we would have to move our other seat over to run this. I think the cage is good. Welds appear to be continuous and 360 degs, tubing diameter is good, gussets everywhere. I think the cage is fine, which was the driver to us picking up a spare car. If I had to guess the last race it saw was 2014 or 2015. PO to me never got around to racing it, just drove it around back roads on occasion.
Well, this would be an easier option for me to put together a Lemons team than it would for me to build a car from scratch. Do you have the hatch? Any idea what the current weight is?
We do not have the hatch. Not really sure on weight. Wiki says 2800-3200 factory. So without the carpet, seats, speakers, stereo, HVAC, and glass I would say 2700-2900, but thats a guess....
From what I can see of the cage, it looks fine and legal.
Gotta do something about the t tops unless you like armbands.
Windshield is fine for champcar or lemons.
Side lexan on drivers and passenger doors is illegal in champcar. Other windows can be lexan. The hatch can be made with lexan.
Seems like a great deal. I have seen these cars around 2400 to 2600# in race trim.
Believe it or not, that seat is probably legal in champ or lemons as is.
