Elderly neighbor asked me to help sell his 38 (37?) Desoto four door.
It's been sitting in Nevada for decades but is nearly complete body wise and very strait.
No drive-train but it is on wheels and should roll.
Can take pics if there is interest.
Last of the cars with side of the hood mounted headlamps.
Not a big fan of old Detroit iron but this one is classy.
Challenge priced and early pre-war Mopar so go nuts with it!
Would also make a great street rod and has real "Patina" if you believe in that.
In reply to RichardSIA :
Yes, there is interest so post up them pitchers!

The coupe is a great looking car, with tons of potential. Be he says it's a 4dr...
not so much.
Price seems good, for anybody out that way, but I wouldn't consider it as challenge material.
Walt Disney had a '38 DeSoto.
If you include shipping, it couldn't be under $2k. But whoda guessed a VW bug, a Zamboni or a 1950s Plymouth would be?
Lamps are mounted on the sides of the hood.
Trying to get pics today.

Shipping the car doesn't count in the Challenge budget.
That is the one. I think it looks better that way.
That would make a killer street/rat rod!
I think it's actually a 1937.
Turns out to have an original engine that is out of it but no transmission.
Plenty of room under the hood for almost anything.
Some broken glass but it is flat and should be replaced anyway as it does not appear to be safety glass.
Interesting transitional style, Aero, but still has the rear styled to resemble an old fashioned luggage type Trunk.
Pics,
Looks to be a prime candidate for a Crown Vic frame swap.
... or a Dodge 4X4.
living in the Northeast, I'm always flabbergasted by the cars seen when touring back roads.
Well now George says, "Hey sell my model T and Model A too."
More pics and separate post to follow.
Somebody needs to organize a convoy and take all of these treasures away.
37 is sold.
Buyers plan is probably some semi-radical body mods and an SBC.
NOT an LS!
