While that is completely awesome and probably worth the money, I can get a LOT of really sweet cars for 15K.

yes. That thread about 996s comes to mind.
I highly doubt that little radiator can cool a 2.0L with 500hp. My brother tried one of those civic radiators on his 4g63 swapped Mirage and it wasn't enough radiator for normal driving.
That's pretty impressive. I like the fact that the builder seems to have resisted the urge to go crazy on the exterior and interior. It's really really cool but I don't think it's $15.5k cool.

Not all motors generate heat the same way.
Being the owner of an AWD CR-V, it wouldn't be my first choice in an application like this. It's made only as an on-road traction aid. The rear tires don't really kick in very fast after front slip is detected. It does the job, but the AWD setup in my old Civic wagon worked much better, IMO.

No kidding. Looks like grandma's grocery getter. I bet it sounds like something else once you get on the throttle.

...and, who would ever suspect anything if a gray haired, gray beard (me!) was at the wheel. Bwahahaha!

There was a turbo cr-v floating around here that was really quick, perhaps there is a solution for what you're talking about. I don't speak honda, so I have no clue.
This thing would be at least 150x more of a world-class Q ship if it was combined with the ratty neglected body of my Civic. However, even as it sits, it would be fun to embarass, well, pretty much anything other than a modern sportbike.
not your typical Honda build......
when I first saw the title... I thought it was this car....

yeah, more go than show.
I like the execution but it leaves me wondering a few things. How durable is that drivetrain with that kind of HP? Is that the reason for the minimal rubber - to reduce drivetrain shock by reducing traction? For $15k, doe it include the cool custom exhaust fitting that looks like a pair of Vise Grips?
20 minutes with a can of white paint would fix those firewalls....

I think that's just holding a V-band clamp together while they work on the exhaust, which is probably why it was up in the air in the first place. I'd bet those pictures were taken to document the work, not specifically to sell the car.
Still, though, that's a hell of a Civic build.
I had a chuckle at the comment about not answering questions about how to build one. A while back I helped build and crew for a supercharged AWD Civic hatchback Open Class rally car. Needless to say, it drew a lot of attention, but the conversations with the FnF fanboy/import drags/tuner kids got annoying really fast.
"Cool! How did you build it? I wanna build one too!"
"Well, we grafted a Civic wagon drivetrain with a few CRV parts into the hatchback body shell."
"Can you give me a detailed parts list so I can replicate it?"
"Not really, we bought the wagovan, tore out the drivetrain, started mocking it up, cut out a lot of the floor and welded where needed, got a driveshaft made, built rear control arms, built some coil overs with remote reservoir shocks, etc."
"Oh gosh, that sounds like a lot of work! Can you send me pictures and or templates of where to cut? What cheaper shop around here could I have it towed to so they could do the welding for me?"
"At the moment this project might be a bit ambitious, but it could be a good chance to learn some new skills. You are just going to have to dive in and start tearing a couple cars apart. Let us know when you get to that point and we can offer advice on specific problems."
"Man, why do you guys have to be such stuck-up shiny happy people? I just wanted a detailed parts list to build my own!"
San Diego phone number and not California plates. If its out here and someone buys it that is a rolling mess of unregistered parts not a car.
